I wasn’t sure if I was going to write anything or not tonight but I decided to write a quick post. My sinuses have been bothering me a lot for the past couple of days and I am just not feeling like myself. If I don’t feel better within the next couple of days I guess I will have to make a trip to the good ole docs office. I don’t mind going to see my doctor but like most people it is not something I enjoy! A co-worker told me that I should try nose spray to help clear me up, it’s worth a shot!
As most of you of you know I am trying to get healthy and lose some lb’s which is not an easy task! Lately there have been a ton of sweets at my office and it is hard to resist, especially when everyone else is enjoying a sweet treat. Today I decided that I was going to give up sweets for Lent. I think by doing so it will help me greatly in my weight loss journey.
I started using My Net Diary two years ago and it is an amazing tool for weight loss! It is an online food journal and an exercise log. If used daily (and correctly) it can help you be extremely successful! One of the best things about My Net Diary is that most food is already logged into the system…how simple can you get!? One last thing about how awesome this website is, it not only keeps track of your daily calories but it also keeps track of the fat, carbs and protein you consume! If you have a few minutes in your day I highly recommend checking it out!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday started out on the wrong foot…Oops!!
Sam and I were invited over to a friend’s house yesterday to watch the Daytona 5o0 and someone I know and love volunteered me to make dessert! Let me just tell you I am not the best cook/baker in the world but I do what I can! Sam was a little disappointed the cookies were not homemade, but I was pressed for time. We had a great lunch which consisted of chili and cornbread but unfortunately for some the race was rained out. Anyone out there into NASCAR?! I had no clue about anything racing until I met Sam almost 7 years ago. I will watch some races but I usually end up taking a little nap during the race.
Fast forward to Monday morning…I didn’t sleep very well last night so I was a little more disoriented than usual when I woke up this morning which caused me to trip over the ironing board on my way to the bathroom…smooth move, I know! When I got to work this morning I had a Dannon Greek Yogurt . Source
Yummy!! I think I need to check with my trainer to see if the amount of sugar is too hight?! If so, I will just have to switch to a different type.

How exciting…this is my first blog post ever! I have been toying with the thought of starting a blog for some time now and last night while at dinner with my husband, Sam, I thought why the heck not! My main idea for my blog is to let the world read about my struggles with weight loss and healthy eating all while maintaining a full time career in the medical field and being a good, I mean great, wife. I love reading blogs that are written by health and fitness gruru’s but I haven’t come across one that shows a young women in her late 20’s trying to reach certain health and fitness goals. Some days are easier than others, I hit the gym after work and eat a somewhat healthy meal, but there are other days when I just want to go home after work, put on my PJ’s and eat dinner while watching The Bachelor! I hope by blogging about my journey I can do a better job at staying focused on living a healthy and fabulous life!
