It has been a long time since I have written a blog post and to be honest I felt like I didn’t have anything to write about. I wasn’t eating super healthy so I didn’t have great recipes to share but I have been working out with a personal trainer at my local gym, ACT by Deese and I love it. I use to think that I could go to the gym 5 times a week and do pretty much the same routine and get awesome results but once I started working out with my trainer I finally saw the light!
One thing I am working on is keeping a daily exercise log so I can share them with all of you!
Today during work I had a free moment so I decided to look up a recipe for turkey meatballs…and I found one I really love!!
1lb lean ground turkey
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup dy breadcrumbs
1. Mix all the ingredients and shape into 25-30 meatballs approximately 1″ across.
2. You can either cook the meatballs in a nonstick pan coated lightly with veggie oil (I found this to take way too long so I decided to bake mine).
3. If you choose to bake the meatballs preheat oven to 375 degrees place meatballs on nonstick cookie tray lined with tinfoil and bake for 20 minutes, turning meatballs after 10mins. Source
I used Barilla whole wheat pasta and Ragu pasta sauce and put the meatballs onto. The great thing about the meatballs is that they are 165.7 calories for 6! It definitely made for a light and yummy dinner!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed all the St. Patrick’s Day festivities! Greensboro was very busy this weekend due to the NCAA Basketball Tourney being in town; which meant I didn’t get to see Sam very much. We were able to have lunch together on Saturday before he had to start his shift (for those of you who don’t know, he’s a bartender) and enjoyed a beer or two to celebrate the wonderful Irish holiday!
Let’s rewind to Friday evening for a minute. I had a work event that I attended and for attending this event you got a FREE pizza. I thought that would be perfect for dinner. I took the pizza to my mom and sister’s house and after our first bite my sister and I both agreed that it was terrible! We immediately tossed it in the trash, got in the car and went to pick up salad’s. We also had to share a smoothie to get that nasty taste out! We definitely learned out lesson and will continue to eat clean, even when we are offered free pizza!
This morning for breakfast I mixed Kashi Heart to Heart cereal with Love Grown Foods Granola , strawberries and skim milk….it was delish!
Lunch today consisted a greek salad with grilled chicken…it was also delish!
Lets hope dinner is just a good as the rest of my meals today!
I am also really excited that my trainer is back from LA! I’m ready for a for a good sweat session🙂
I have never been a clean eater, that’s probably one of the reasons I need to shed a few pounds, but tonight I decided that it is something I really need to work on. I had dinner with my little sister, we went to a little deli and needless to say I didn’t eat clean; not long after I ate I felt terrible. That’s when I knew I had to make a huge change in my eating.
I decided to check out Clean Eating Magazine online to see what they offered and to my surprise they offer a 2 week Meal Plan and it even includes a grocery shopping list! I’m in love!!! I am not sure if I have told you all or not but I am not the best cook so finding a meal plan with a shopping list and recipes will be a huge help to me in the kitchen! Woot Woot🙂
I am so excited to try out the Clean Eating Meal Plan so I come home with more to eat than this, I bet my hubby would appreciate having food in the fridge too😉
I am sad to say that I haven’t done as well with my blog as I had hoped. I thought that it would be easy for me to write every evening after dinner but to be honest with you all, it hasn’t been easy at all. I started a notebook when I first created my blog to write down ideas, different workouts and what I eat, but for some reason I didn’t keep up with Getting Fit n Fabulous😦
So here I am, sitting on my couch while dinner is cooking professing my newfound dedication to the blogging community to keep up with my blog! I have decided to set aside at least 30 minutes at least
4make that 5 times a week. My blog is supposed to be me sharing my journey of weight loss, eating healthy and hitting the gym with all of you but to also be a tool to help me stay on track and keep focus. Really, it keeps me accountable!
With all of that said, I am really exciting to committed to my blog! Maybe one day I can inspire someone the way so many of your blogs have inspired me!
Time for dinner and to catch up on a few DVR shows🙂
